The publisher and the instrument maker used to be the same company, they split a few years ago (can't remember exactly when). The publishers took the name Boosey & Hawkes whilst the instrument makers went to their brand names (the brass were Besson).
It was at this point that they noticed just how little money the instruments were making and how much the sheet music had been subsidising them. |
