State Trooper

People drive too fast, almost hit me, shoot at me, punch, spit, kick, yell, scream, call me names, runaway on foot, runaway in motor vehicles, the media hates me, the average person hates me unless I'm cutting them out of their seatbelt as they are inverted on an interstate and their car is smoking, I work holidays, weekends, odd hours, I get called in to work in the middle of the night, I sat outside refineries and nuclear power plants after terrorist attacks and elevated threat levels, and I miss all kinds of stuff w/my kids because I'm at work.

I love my job.
