Re: Mutes

Ciao "The Buzz",
I really dig my Ullven cup mute (Swedish) but have a drawer full of harmons. I rotate between a few like the Jo-Ral, Shew, and a really old original harmon. A friend of mine in NYC has a stomvi harmon that's no longer made and it's got the best sound for jazz I've ever experienced. Too bad you can't find them. He did in Spain years back and bought it for like $10. I did just get a Best Brass warm-up/practice mute and really like it, so I've ordered their harmon (wow-wow) mute from Dillon's. Of course it's on back order so I'm waiting on it. Claudio Roditi has nice things to say about it so I'm hopefull it'll be "the one" as far as harmons go. Is anyone else hip to these mutes? If so, some feedback would be appreciated. Grazie!
