I too am a big fan of yours! Heard you with the Maria Schneider Orchestra a few years ago @ "Zinnos" (sp) Impressive playing from you and the group, Maria is such a great writer! As far the last great innovator on the Trumpet, who is a big influence for many of us Mr. Woody Shaw: I always dug his sound, and his harmonic sense and intervallic playing simply put, blows me away. I was fortunate to hear Woody live on numerous occasions front row, and his virtuosity was amazing! Particular recordings that inspire me are United, Stepping Stones, and Lotus Flower. !My .02 for what it's worth.
