Re: Stavinsky Octet "a" part on "A" trumpet

Trent,

I've played both parts many times and each has a distinct character. Lennie asked me to play it on the cornet when I did it a bunch of times with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (he directed the CMS' Stravinsky festival, including performances of Renard, L'Histoire du Soldat, Ragtime, and others).

DB,

Transposition skills are important for every trumpeter to have. (I love that old Ghitalla disc, by the way)

Cheers,
EC
