I had the same impression the 1st time I heard that solo as well! I was 17, a freshman @ Berklee, when my roomate put on that vinyl. After talking myself out of quitting school and going back home, I figure that if Lee was 19 when he did that seesion with Trane, that I could get there too in two years time....................well, here I am @ 48 still trying to play at that level!
