| Re: Most Lyrical Jazzer I second Sweets Edison. I started listening to lots of Sinatra's capitol albums about ten years ago to learn tunes, and Sweets will just put in the perfect fill. His solos will be about four measures, or even four beats. In particular, there's a great string quartet, sweets, and Sinatra album--Close to You, In the Wee Small Hours, Songs for Swingin Lovers.
I also think Dizzy is an underrated ballad player. Of course he's a great everything player.
