Problem with Schilke Cornet m.p's fitting Vintage Cornet M.P. Rewciever.

Hello T.M.er's Wanted to try out the #4 rim of the Schilke's. I have a 1948 King Master Cornet. I was having no problem with my older or newer Bach pieces. So I assumed the Schilkes shank would be the same. Boy was I wrong. The Shanks are half as thick and a differant and maybe a longer taper. The fit is to loose and to close to mouthpipe. Sound is fuzzy and dull. Is there maybe a space insert out there by a music tech or music company? That will give the schilke piece a good fit and correct gap setting? I do like the # 4 rim. If there is such a item. Besides tape or replacing my m.p. reciever. Please post and let me know. Thank you all.
