Oh, I forgot to mention another possibility. I have a 1921 Victor New Wonder without the A to Bb linkage mechanism. Not because it was made that way, but because in the 40's it was removed. The blob where the pivot was is ground off and so are the brackets on the slides. I guess when grandpa decides it was too hard to polish around all that stuff he didn't ever use, he had it removed...... Maybe an old timer did the same with this one years ago if the mechanism jammed up?
