I'm very proud to have recently recorded Luciano Berio's "O King" for trumpet and large wind band (arrangement done by the composer). This is a beautiful and unusual piece and I believe that this is the premier recording. I had the pleasure of working with the incredible conductor Robert Ponto and the Oregon Wind Ensemble. The recording engineer and producer was Lance Miller (it doesn't get much better).
While I do expect this to come out on a forthcoming album (I'll divulge those details later), I couldn't wait to let some people hear this important piece now. So for now, please enjoy the track on my myspace page:
