Another good place to look is on the liner notes of the recordings of this piece.
I think sometimes it would have been great if the performers had read the liner notes before recording the piece too..........
Groves is always my first stop, then Wikipedia. I also have an 86 year old german trumpet teacher when I am in doubt!
