| Rips and glisses?
Hi I am a new member and I salute all of you. I am really a jazz clarinet player that in the past two years have selftaught to play the cornet (a Conn 1921 with a large bore). I am interested in Bix beiderbecke and I learnt several of his improvisations transcribing from the records, however I dont manage to do rips (for instance C to A or gliss from slightly lower than E to E. Is there any advice on how to do theser exercises to be able to do it? Now that I play (try to!) the cornet I fell in love with the intrument and I feel happy to have arrived to the point that I can ask these questions.
