just kidding. but now i have a line of people looking at this and wanting to hit me i actually do have a mp ? though. i dont have a shop that carries mouthpieces around here and i thought i knew what i wanted, but ive seen several posts throughout the internet that have me perplexed. im playing a bach 3c now, which is ok. the thing is i had a schilke 14a4a that i tried for a while. i really liked the rim, but i like the round sound of the 3c more. the 14a was very bright as i expected, but decided that i didnt like it. now i loved the comfortable 4 rim on the schilk, and i would actually like a wider rim and deeper cup than my bach with the comfortable rim on the schilke. now if i remember correctly the rim on my schilke 14 was actually wider than my bach, however i have seen several posts where people are saying that the schilke 17 is comparable to a bach 6 what gives? according to the measurements the schilk 17 is much bigger than a bach 6. i thought i would go with the schilk 17d4 because according to paper it looked like what i wanted. i dont have access to see all of these in person etc. can anyone clear this up a bit? is the schilk 17d4 not bigger and deeper than my bach 3c?
