im not explaining myself well i guess. im not asking you the dreaded which mouthpiece should i get question
, i know its a matter of what feels best for each person, what im saying is, i know i like the feel of the rim on the schilke, but i like the tone of the deeper cup. i was under the assumption that shilke mp got "bigger" with their bigger numbers, but people saying that a schilk 17 is the same size as a bach 6 doesnt make any sense as the "measured" size of the schilk is quite a bit bigger than a bach 6. I understand the "trying a bunch of different ones" route, but unfortunately all of us arent that well off that we can spend hundreds of dollars on mouthpieces. if i can have the schilke rim, which i already know i like, that is a bit "bigger" and deeper than my 3c i would be extremely happy, im just trying to figure out if im missing something because of the afforementioned comparison that doesnt make sense to me.
