Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY

Here's a pretty cool cornet made by Keefer in Williamsport P.A. This particular cornet has a rotary valve that allows the horn to switch keys -- From A to B.

Except for a little tarnishing, the horn is in perfect condition.

I know that it was manufactured by the Brua C. Keefer Company which ceased production in 1941 and that every cornet in produced by the company was tested by Cornetist John Hazel. But that's about all I know about this horn or the rotary valve.

Can anyone tell me more about this cornet or the quality of Keefer cornets in general? (see photos attached)

Thanks
