Thanks for all the advice and help everyone.
I have a very good doctor who is an eviromental and occupational medicine doctor. He is the one who discovered my cobalt poisoning.
I have yet another new inhaler. This one is an aerosol, however, it is not a CFC propellent and that seems to be the problem. The new aerosol is a HFA 134a propellant with ethanol. So while it helps the supposed hole in the ozone, it is causing corn prices to go through the ceiling.
It also does NOT work nearly as well. We proved that this week in some tests.
W Scott--Thanks, I have a nebulizer, or "updraft" machine. Have used them for years when things get pretty bad. The problem is I can't carry it with me all the time and it is only used as a last resort before I go to the hospital.
Mike Ansberry, I used Advair once...funny story, it is a "dry" inhalent. Dry doesn't work with everyone. It was also one of the ways we diagnosed the cobalt induced asthma. I had a paradoxical asthma attack after being given a dose of Advair.
Lexie, Yeah, the Prednisone is a HORRIBLE drug. It makes me feel terrible and makes me an insatiable hunger....like getting up at night and HAVING to eat all day and night.
Here a couple pictures of my inhalers.
The larger white one with CFC aerosol, and the smaller one with the new HFA 134a and ethanol propellant. They are both 200 metered doses. The old one sure gets the meds into my luings much better.
Thanks for bearing with me,
