I would have loved to see your face when your dad spoke to you so unexpectedly. What a blessing. He sounds like a real character.
Isn't it amazing how the body knows best? It needed to shut down for a while so he could heal undisturbed by the distraction of life. While it was a huge concern to those that love him, they just had to endure and wait until his body was done healing. We aren't always privy to the plan but with a little faith, hope, and support good things can and do happen.
I'm happy for you, big guy.
