My question is a result of a response by my teacher after he played my recently acquired '63 Conn Victor 22B. After playing it he said, "It blows easier than mine." He was comparing it to his new Bobby Shew model Yamaha. Of course he played my horn beautifully. He then played his horn and the tone of his horn appealed to me slightly better than mine. When asked, he put my horn in the intermediate category. Yet my instincts tell me that my horn in the hands of a "bitch'n" player on a gig would stand up to many "Professional" horns. Thus my confusion, and question. I'll just have to wait for the opportunity to experience the difference between my horn and a "professional" horn. Thanks to all that responded. I know this is one of those gray areas. By the way, I don't see this teacher too often so I didn't want to spend a lot of time learning about horn differences. After all, I've got my TM teachers.................tom/crow
