Re: Stork “Pumped Up”

For reference, here's what the Stork site says:

Most cups look like this: Very "C" shaped with flat bottoms and small "throats" (entrance to the bore.) Our standard Vacchiano cups look more like this: More of a gradual "V" shape.

I have not tried "these particular" mpcs...but have tried V cups in the past. As always...it will all depend on how "you" react to this type of cup shape. If you have some lip intrusion to the cup, then a V cup shape may feel a bit shallower to you, because your lips will begin to touch the inside of the cup sooner at the side. Therefore, you may benefit from a slightly larger cup mass to offset this. Conversly, if you have little lip intrusion, this type of cup may provide good volume and focus to your sound.

May, may, may...could, could, could.. it's all about you. I see where you live, Andy...maybe you could "hobo" your way up to the Stork shop and try them out! Ha! Another option as a test...see if a local shop or any of your friends have any V cup mpcs they'd be willing to let you blow into. That will at least give you an idea on whether that shape is helpful to you.

Best of luck!
