If you have the money I would highly reccomend the NYTC and Felix. The California model is a little more than you are talking about but worth it. Felix has some less expensive horns such as the Vintage Bb that plays very nicely. The Vintage is in your price range.
The Schilke B5 is a great lead horn, as is the Yamaha LA model. Of course, you make the horn a lead horn
