You should wipe the horn down with a rag with a little fantastic on it after you play. From the way your horn in tarnishing, you have the same problem I do, acidic sweat. This is quite evident by the finger prints on the copper... touch it once, starts to tarnish.

I am a horn player by trade and growing up went through several bell flares because I was wearing through the raw metal. Once I started to wipe by bell after playing and have had the same flare for years.

I advise anyone who plays a raw brass horn to wipe the horn after playing to ensure your horn lasts for years of enjoyment.
