| Re: Imperial Boosey and Hawkes Horns Marking on the bell is "Imperial" Then there is the B&H emblem. Then it says Boosey and Hawkes, LTD Made in London.
As far as I can see there is no other marking other than the serial number, each vavle case has a #, 1, 2 or 3.
The only other marking is a # on the bell piece. One horn has a 3 and the other horn has a 4 imprinted on the tubing where it attaches to the Horn half of the trumpets. Any clue what this # signifies or why it is there?
Any idea where I can find a list of serial numbers or a good idea of how to get a estimated value on the horns? They are in good shape, minor dings, just a very few. I am in the process of cleaning them up.
Were there specific mouth pieces that came with these trumpets?
This is an interesting process, learning their history. I obtained them from a person from Canada a few years ago for less than $100 US. They looked horrible but so far have cleaned up well. |
