I had a 229G bell on a C180L. The sound of the horn was very nice, but it was difficult to play in tune. I eventually ended up on a Yamaha Chicago C. I don't know if that helps or not because I ended up ditching the horn. I think it would make a very smooth sounding D trumpet.
