There of course is no answer to that question. If you know that, your motives are subject to close scrutiny. If you didn't know that, then have I got a deal for you.
For all of you self pronounced critics: If somebody likes Monette - that is their opinion (or experience), the same goes for Monke, Bach, Yamaha, Lawler or Kanstul or any other quality brand. Criticism in a thread like this shows a certain undesirable trait - closed mind. Just let everyone believe what they want to - or start a troublemaking thread of your own called: is XXXXX the best trumpet? You will attract posters like flies on a pile of xxxx. The quality of the posts will be similar......

If this is in reference to me, I apologize if I came off that way. I didn't mean to be "cheap" or rude, I was just trying to make the point that there is no one best horn. I interpreted the "there is no second place" statement as saying that monette is the absolute best horn out there. I should've explained myself better. I've no problem with monettes or kanstuls or whatever. Every brand brings something different to the table. There are plenty of guys and girls on this site that could play circles around me on a $20 pink pocket trumpet! The instrument is only as good as the person on the end of it.
