My own design 3 rotary valve with a red brass bell from the early 60s. The valves are carbon fiber and have ball bearings so they are essentially maintenance free! Pictured in my avatar.
Not as loud or bright as conventional piccs. Blends very well with the human voice. Great chamber instrument. Not suitable for the heavy symphonic things.
