Wayne always looks weird when he plays, it drives some people crazy. What you have to understand is that he's listening really, really hard. And waiting. For just the right moment to do just the right thing. That involves a lot of waiting and little playing. But when he plays, look out! Wayne is the most brilliant musician in jazz still alive. Maybe with Sonny Rollins.
