| Re: Brian Lynch - whoaaa! Love Brian. I wrote an arrangement of Guajira DuBois that my kiddies played (you heard that, Nick) and when I e-mailed him he sent me a score to The Palmieri Effect which I'm working on now. A few weeks ago I went to Milwaukee and met Brian when he was doing a master class at the Milwaukee Conservatory (his alma mater) with some high school kids. He was very effective, patient and, well, kind. We got to talk some, he teaches a former student of mine at NYU. A nice hang. He was scheduled to come to Chicago to play at Hot House which unfortunately went belly up. Terrfic trumpet player, and like all great players I have met he's an eternal student.
