Matt,
The first does not exclude the latter. As someone has already said on the forum, having the pitchfinder does not necessarili mean, that I will be using it all the time. Having a complementary device won't spare me practice time, or excuse bad playing. It may be handy to have it from time to time. That's all. This device is to be used by advanced players on good horns. A bad builded horn won't become a top notch just by adding a pitchfinder, as Robin pointed out.
