Wilmer suggested I ask you and Tom this question that I already posted on the general forum. It has to do with playing fast runs during "up-tempo" jazz improvisations. I'm a 64 yr. old returning player and feel like I'll never be able to think and play long runs during fast jazz improvisation. Can you give me some insight to what the mental process (yours and others who have shared that with you) as well as what it takes to achieve that technically. I feel like I'm asking a lot here, but anything you can offer will help.
