Ain't it the truth. We trumpet players never really reach the Holy Grail of mouthpieces do we? I have a Laskey 65* that I really love now. I always liked it, but felt that something better must be out there. That magic MP that will make everything easier. I played a GR for a while and I liked it. But nothing gave me the sizzle to the sound like the Laskey. I recently had Greg Black change the rim size for me. Turns out that was all I was looking for. Now I'm crazy about the Laskey again!!
