BESSON BREVETE cornet SERIAL 234600
Does it have any other writing on the bell? The serial number puts it between 55-60. I have a Besson 8-10 trumpet from that era that plays very well. I also have a Besson 8-10 cornet from 67 that is in good shape and has a dark tone. Besson made different models for years for the American market. I am talking English Besson that I have, not French Besson. Most of the American intended ones have the same basic construction, I think. Stratford was another English Besson student line. Brevete means Patented in French. Maybe you can supply some more info on the horn? Dave
