all of Arbans scale exercizes are also suitable for velocity studies:
tie all, tongue all, tie 2 /tongue 2, tongue 1/tie 3, tie 3/tongue one.

Velocity studies are just another name for "old school" learning by repetition. Instead of a quick cheat from the internet: real, solid BASICS.

St. Jacome just wrote them out as tidbits for daily practice.
