I've always liked my Scherzer piccolo with a Beck A pipe. Handel seemed more comfortable with Old Testament themes, and despite the lyrical implication of big 'ol soldier trombone playing angels, (using Luther's German, anyway) Handel's theology seems to call for Botticelli angels. Besides, my D is a dog, and the Scherzer lets me rattle windows just fine.
