In your case for trying to do all three then you consider another model say the 8335S


The GS or RGS broken down means
_ - Epoxy Laquer
S - Silver Plated
G - Gold Brass Bell
R - Heavyweight Reverse Leadpipe

The RGS should be the darkest of all. The LA the brightest.

If you like these horns you might try and find a standard 8335S with the yellow brass bell. Kind of middle of the road which can more easily be bent to Brighter side if needed. Of course a second similar mouthpiece with a different backbore or on cup depth change could easily light up or darken a horn more than the difference between say the 8335 and 8335 RGS. Depending on what you play you could use that to you advantage as well.
