Re: Best trumpet to buy?

Hello,

To keep this uner $300 you will be in the market for a cheap -made in China- trumpet. I'm not very familiar with them but I hear they are pretty bad in terms of workmanship and quality. I'm sure you can get a trumpet sound out of them (for at least a while) and if he is looking for a dirty sound this might be just the ticket

How serious is your boyfriend about the trumpet? People don't usually recommend trumpets from China here (from what I can tell) but if its just to mess around on once in a while maybe it will work.

When talking he said he didn't want a coronet this time and was looking for some with a 'dirtier sound.' Also, if it's possible, I'm trying to keep it under $300. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks
