| Re: Bach Strad Soloist Welcome to the TM Tom! If the horn has been great for you that is really all that matters. Enjoy it! Quote:

I was in the market for a trumpet about one year ago and whilst staying with my parents in Memphis, went along to a local music shop (Amro). After trying a variety of horns, including a couple of Strad 37's and a Yamaha Xeno, I eventually opted for a Bach Stradivarius Soloist, a horn I hadn't previously come across. It was very free-playing with a nice bright tone and it's been great for me over the past year. However, I've been unable to find any info on them online at all. It looks like a Strad 180 and has the same engraving, including the Soloist name. Also the valve caps and fluid keys are gold plated and it came with a gold plated 3C mouthpiece. Can anyone enlighten me further as to the history of this model?
Thanks, Tom. |
