Read Jens' Yamaha Trumpet Rant in this forum. Resistance my be your friend. I used to play and still do ocassionally, a Getzen Eterna. This horn is very free blowing. I swithced to a Schilke B1 about 3 months ago. It is supposed to be free blowing, but I found it had more resistance than the Getzen. My range has never been better, and I don't work as hard up there. Just a thought.
