Now are they the best??? Not really. That is just because maybe you want a completely different sound for some other situation. Maybe you do not like being like everyone else. Maybe you just come alive on a Schilke.

The sound quality seems to be better as of late like they are made better (however finish seems to have some nitpicking issues, which for 2400 bones or so it should not have) but for the price it definitely opens up the choices available to you quite a bit.

For the difference you simply must give other horns a blow to see if something really stands out for YOU!!!

In no particular order Try....

C.G. Conn Vintage 1
Schilke B and S series (X is just B13 and B14 from what i have read)
Kanstul
Yamaha 6xxx Series, 8xxxx series horns
Getzen (probably the best customer service from what i have read in the forums)
Stomvi Elite series
B & S Challengers

Would that be Bachs of years ago, right before the strike and after?
With Conn-Selmer, can the newer Bachs be as good?

Best wishes,

Lloyd
