Dear Rowuk,

I appreciate your input, and I apologize to you and any others who may have taken offense at my posting. I was not trying to be a huckster, nor am I selling something that would not be useful to the members of these forums. This is my first composition to be published by a major house, and I'm naturally a bit excited about it. It seemed perfectly natural and logical to me to "promote" a book that just may be useful and interesting to many of the forum members and their students. I certainly would want to know about a new book like this if the shoe were on the other foot. I'm not trying to rope people into some money-making scheme or into buying something that is unrelated to the subject of these forums. I'm not in this for the money. If I got a little carried away, again, I'm sorry if I caused any inconvenience; it was not done maliciously. I have enjoyed many of your posts, and have also learned a great deal from many other members, some of which were, indeed, endorsing or "promoting" a particular brand of horn or a particular piece of music. I hope you will forgive a relative newbie this indiscretion. I have devoted countless unpaid hours to the writing of this book, and I have put my best efforts into it. You bet I want to get it heard! The book has received warm compliments from some of the major trumpet players around. I would hope that many of you would give a fellow player who has produced something of potential value to them a little encouragement. I'm on your side, guys!

Respectfully,

Chas Reskin
