Have you ever performed on the King Mini-trumpet? I saw Charlie Schlueter use one once in the BSO. It was only for one note, a ppp high F in the Ligeti Cello Concerto (I think). It was the perfect fit for what the music called for. He had to whittle down a mouthpiece to make it fit. I wish I had one of those, if only for comic relief...
