generally every horn needs a mouthpiece that "matches" its characteristics.
From my personal experience in conversing with trumpeters for over 45 years,
I've concluded that almost all trumpeters have their idiosyncrasies,and it was
Mr.NAT ADDERLEY who convinced me that the mouthpiece is more important than the horn.
I also know players who endorse a certain brand name ONLY because they received their's on a comp basis and would play with same in public but not always in the recording studio.
Among other things,there is a reason why photography is prohibited during a live show.
Imagine promoting Pepsi and Bad-Bad DON having a Kodak moment of you with Dr.Pepper .
And so it goes !
