Welcome, aVeD! A cleaning brush (snake) is a must have for cleaning an instrument. Soap & water are the traditional cleaners. The Vulgano CHEAPO CHEMICAL CLEAN is to soak the instrument innards in Vitamin C powder (just a tiny bit) and water overnight, then flush the instrument with baking soda (just a tiny bit) and water to kill the acid, then rinse with clear water. This should get most gunk out of a horn, and it is kind of fun to play mad scientist!
