Here in Europe, if you have not degrees, nobody will accept you to the audition. Also, degrees are "European Standard" so your degree obtained in Spain means the same that other from Germany, Italy or France (not only in music). The only exception is UK (not for better).
About orchestral experience... Didn't you read that I was invited to Principal Trumpet Audition at CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA in 2.003 and 2.004 ???
Maybe Cincinnati Symphony is asking for better players than Chicago, wich is a real legend ?
Also I must say that other american orchestra sent to me an information requesta about my working status at the USA (if I'm holder of green card or so...).
The real question is:
American orchestras want to hear real musicians from everywhere or only american ???
