| Horn Blockup Hey Again!
I've had a recent problem with my newly bought Yamaha Xeno.
I bought it around October of this year and it worked like a charm. I tried it out in the shop, bought it a week or two later and it worked perfect. After about 3 weeks I clean it for the first time. After playing for a bit after I realize how much more blocked-up it was than when I first bought it. I checked and inspected it up and down and could not find anything that could cause it. I then cleaned it again and found nothing that could be blocking it up. I put up with it for a little bit and just let it be. Now another month later, my friend and I go horn shopping for a pro horn for him. They do have another Xeno there and I play on it just a little, same mouthpiece and all. I could tell instantly the difference between that horn and mine.
I decided I need to talk to the shop. They couldn't find nothing in it, nor any dents that may cause this block-up. Plus, this thing is brand-new, never been dropped. No dents I'm sure. They said they will look into it, and they're backed up from Christmas still, but to bring it in early January and they'll see what they can do.
So, I was wondering if any of you had some input as to why my horn is so stuffy. It's definitely putting a damper on my playing.
Thanks!
