| Re: old horns and new music The thing about vintage horns is LOVE...... if you play it and fall in love with it then that´s the name of the game! For instance, you have to play it, and recently I was in a very well known London shop and blew the Martin Committee they had from the 40´s... it was interesting, but not mind or bodyblowing.... then I tried my besson C and it was love at first sight, with a little bit of lust! I couldn´t believe it when the said this was 200 pounds as apposed to the Martin´s 1600. What the hell is happening! So now I have a reverse C from the fifties which has all the slides for a Bb peeshooter (great for a silent burlesque cinema gig I did recently!) and there´s love.... a subject I think I´ll bring up on Wilmer´s forum........
