I've heard some really good things about the Chase Sanborn Series, and I'm wonding if any of you have had any experience with any of them. They seem to cater for all playing occasions, and having similar rims so there's not too much change between them. Anyone with some experience on this equipment please let me know your thoughts, as I don't want to spend $250 on a piece that is no good...

Have you done a playing test with a GR representative, or have you called GR (705 715 7060) to discuss your wishes/needs? You won't get better advice anywhere else - just because someone else likes the Chase series and Chase plays them doesn't mean much for you. How much time on the 64Z so far? Do you like the rim shape and feel? If so, have you tried the higher cup volume variants of it, like 64MS, 64M, 64MX etc.? A lot of people find the MS or M cups to be excellent all-round cups. For many the M still retains a bit of brightness. If the 64Z plays well for you but is too harsh for other work, the logical step is to do that. But a call to GR is a smart move.
