Tips about performing this piece should start with research on your part about who he was and what he did for a living, what instruments he had at his disposal and the magnitude of his influence. This is all wiki-able or google-able. Once you have an overview, many things make sense without having to describe the work note by note. It would make sense to get a good oboe performance of this too. |
I actually played it on a Bb trumpet,regular trumpet,not Piccolo,when I was still in school.
It sounded OK.:)
