| Re: Symphonic Dances from West Side Story Thank you for all of your responses. I have heard a few recordings and I really understand the sound that I am looking to have. Sadly, I am not much of a jazz/commercial style player and it is quite a change for me. I am going to do my best to play the whole thing on C, that seems the most manageable for me but I might be able to get my hands on a XL bore bach D trumpet which I might try. I am going to continue listening and hopefully the style will come with repetition. Its just not very inviting when notes are written so far above the staff that they require "* if impossible, tacet". I am going to do my darndest to tackle this part and hopefully I will be able to handle the whole thing on C.
