OK I just have to crow about this somewhere..... I picked up for a friend, a really nice Yamaha "trigger" Bb-F trombone, kinda a semi-pro horn, with *his* $150 today. It's a thing of wonder and beauty, and since it has no valves, there are no valves for him to stuff Marvel Mystery Oil into. He sounds a lot less shitty on it than on the cornet, and well, this is all VERY COOL!!
I also picked up a nice 1940 King American Standard cornet for myself for $75, since I am kind of curious about the cornet and I won't play my frined's, it's kind of stinky and the valves are slow.
OK I'm going to say it - w00t!
