Hey, Alex!
I started out at Oakland about the time it was starting - year 2 or something. No trumpet performance majors then (were there anywhere, then?) They had good young science profs - probably all emeriti by now - but I left for the army and then other schools and never got back. I have fond memories of the place, maybe because they never tracked me down for the yearly nag for contributions to the alumni drive.
